Salon, Tattoo, Body Care Facility Licensing & Inspection
Our sanitarians protect the health of New Haven residents by inspecting body care facilities using guidelines laid out in Connecticut General Statutes Section 19a-231 and Public Act 19-117, Section 196(b). This applies to tattoo parlors, piercing parlors, hair salons and barber shops, massage parlors, nail salons, and other makeup and skin services like lashes, waxing, threading, and facials.
Licenses
All body care facilities must complete an application for a license online with CitySquared. License renewals are due yearly on May 1.
